Well I had some a few times in the past and wasn't too crazy about it. Last year my boyfriend got a few bottles of the nonalcoholic kind for Christmas but I was pregnant so I didn't enjoy it much and a lot of it went to waste. This year we got the kind with alcohol in it and I came to the conclusion that it's probably best to buy the regular kind and add your own stuff in it. Anyway.. after having a couple small glasses of it these last couple of days I'm craving it all day! Just wondering how many people out there like eggnog.. personally I think it's a shame they only sell it during the holidays.
Nope, no eggnog here. I can tolerate it if it has lots of cinnamon and nutmeg in it, but still not something I want to drink often.
I love nonalcoholic eggnog. I'd like to try a nonpasteurised, all natural one. I hear that each is different. I've never made my own but would love to try. Mom just bought a bottle, upon my request, and I'm about to try it. I'll need to ask her the brand later today.
you can make your own egg nog. i've seen recipes. however, since it is the most gross and disgusting thing about christmas i have never made it. for those who are lactose intolerant soy nog is also extremely disgusting. any of it is too thick and just nasty.
I liked the one that we got this year. I have a bit left in the bottle that Mom gave me and I think there's more downstairs.
I've never tried it but I don't like drinking egg whites drank that and I thought it was milk but egg and ddrinking just sounds...... erm..... wrong?
Don't like it and never have. There are so many better holiday treats in my oppinion lol.
Mmm? Chicken embryos marinated in udder secretions? And, someone said, unpasteurized? If you want it, I guess.
If they would incubate the eggs for a few days first, you could show that on Bizarre Foods or Taboo.
If 'Sweet loogies' was a country expression for disgust, it would be fitting in this case.
Egg nog has, and will probably always be one of my favorite holiday treats. I'm not really into the alcoholic kind because I think it takes away from the cinamon and nutmeg. I just wish it wasn't so expensive to buy!
Tried it one year and felt really bloated and a bit nauseated after half the glass. Ugh, I'm never drinking that again. If I remember correctly, it was nonalcoholic.
I looove egg nog. I'm of the opinion it needs to be sold all year, as wel. I've seen some ways to make it online, but have yet to try my hand at it.
I think nonalcoholic egg nog by itself is a bit too rich, so I cut it with 7Up. It's really good.
It's yummy.
I made homemade eggnog a few times. It turns out really good but the recipe I use takes lots of eggs and sugar.
Eggnog s vile = FACT
I've never had the alcoholic stuff before.
I absolutely love eggnog, and could drink it year round, provided they sold it that way. mmm! there's no better treat, in my opinion.
I can't say I don't like it till I try it. Now, I've tried eggnog, and I absolutely love it with booze. mmm! I made french tost with regular eggnog and breoche bread, yuuuum! :)
hmmm will have to try making French toast with it. thought using cream made it good, but using eggnog has to be much better.
So this year I tried to get more during the holidays, but the only thing I found close enough to it was this stuff called holiday custard. In my opinion it tastes exactly like drinking a liquid vanilla milkshake.
